DaJakeWhite InterviewThe spotlight's on Jake (again):How long have you been doing Twitch Streaming?About a year, but I haven't put the time I wanted to put into it because I just finished nursing school. About ten years in the film industry. Do you like acting on set, or streaming online more?I like being on stream because I like interacting with people, I like meeting new people. But people are scary, man. I don't want to be scared of people but I'm very social so I have to get over it. I prefer directing and producing to acting, though. Do you like directing and/or producing on set, or streaming online more?I prefer directing and producing on set. Who do you suspect is your biggest stalker? I mean, biggest fan?My fiance is my biggest fan, and I am so lucky to have her. She is really cool, funny, and super intelligent. She'll be on set with me for hours and hours and hours and hours. I got super lucky. I'm marrying my best friend. What is your favorite content you've helped create?Probably the short film on my page called Hospice. I made it with a buddy of mine. I love it. If you come back and ask me in four months, it'll be a different answer. We made it for CryptTV. So after Hospice, you've never had a real stalker? What about me?I wouldn't consider you a stalker, I'd consider you a friend that's asking questions. Have you seen Hospice? That's exactly what a stalker wants you to think. bwahahahahaa. How do you feel now that I've come out as your stalker!Heh. That's so funny. Oh my goodness. I knew it. That's my response. "I knew it." I knew that you knew that you know you are my stalker. Tell me more about the rights and ownership of the characters and content for Hospice. The way it works is you make a project, you pitch the idea... they give you money for the short film. When agreeing, you're essentially doing it for them. They own all the rights. Short films generally don't make money so the risk is on the investor. With small projects having no outlet, without the financing, the project would have never existed. But that's what you see with every filmmaker, they always regret giving up more of the project than they wish to give up... they give up their baby, but sometimes you have to. The goal is to eventually own all the rights to the things I make but that will take time. How's your day? How's it hanging?Good. What's you ideal genre you want to work in?Sci-fi, but it requires a larger budget to do it correctly. |
